2019 NEWS


Once again this has been a very busy year, hosting two exhibitions thus far and having a further one later this year.  We will once again be hosting at the Cannibis Expo in Sandton at the End of November. We will be found at stand no 118,but details will follow in our monthly Newsletter closer to the date.

We can also happily announce that we have moved into much bigger offices in Johannesburg and that you can now find us at Unit 12, Oakhurst Office Park, 112 Ridge Road, Bartlett, Impala Park, Boksburg, 1459.  We will now be able to have seminars at the office and all demonstration instrumentation is available to be viewed.  So if you are perhaps interested in having a demo and would like to at least see the instrument before having a demo, please contact our Branch Manager Jan Everson, or phone our offices at  (011) 892-4584 and you can chat to Eruka, who can then organize with Jan for a time for you to come to our offices.                



We will be exhibiting at PathCape18 from the 16th - 18th of August.  This function will be held at the Spier Conference Centre in Cape Town.  Many interesting discussions will be taking place in different conference halls.  


2014 News

Save the date 

 On the 16th - 18th of September we will be exhibiting at LabAfrica in Cape Town.  This event will be hosted in the Good Hope Centre.  We will be exhibiting at Stand no 5.  There have been interesting new develpments in both Milestone and LabTech products and would be pleased if you stopped in to have a chat and to find out what these new products are. 

 New Technical Sales Specialist

We would like to welcome our new Technical Sales Specialist Ryno Oosthuizen, who has joined us from the 3rd March 2014. He will be responsible for sales as well as technical problems which could arise. We hope he will have a long and happy stay with us.

New Lab Equipment for University

Tshwane University of TechnologyTshwane University of Technology has recently purchased a Milestone NEO’s GR Solvent Free Microwave Extraction System, which will be used for essential oil extractions under the guidance and supervision of Professor Alvaro Viljoen. They also purchased Rotary Evaporators and Chillers for the day to day use in their laboratory.

Magna Analytical will be exhibiting at LabAfrica 2013. This will take place in June from the 11th to the 13th. Milestone new products, GNR and LabTech products will be displayed. International representatives will also be present to discuss applications and new developments. XFR and XRD Presentation at University of Johannesburg


Sasol & University of Johannesburg


On the 21st of February 2012 Dr. Alessandro Torboli from GNR Analytical Services, Italy will be presenting at the University of Johannesburg. The topic of interest will be “ TXRF – Total Reflection X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy” where he will present a fully comprehensive product overview with Applications and Methods.

The main interest is based on the Application of the TXRF System within the Inorganic/petrochemical fields of study. The request was initiated by Dr. Liljana Marnovic of the University Chemistry department with Sasol Technology as a combined interest in the instrument. The TXRF System is successfully being used by Sasol, Italy for the elemental analyses of Multicomponent solids, Cosmetics and Slurries.

Mintek 2nd Analytical Science Symposium

MINTEKOn the 7th of March 2012, Mintek will be hosting their 2nd Analytical Science Symposium with the focus on Elemental analyses using analytical techniques like XRF/XRD, ICP-MS and OES. There will be various presentations done by industries leaders in their own specialized fields of Interest.

Magna Analytical will be part of this symposium and we will be exhibiting some of the latest Milestone Analytical Microwave Products. We have a vested interest in the sample preparation solutions for ICP –MS and OES. Milestone Microwave systems plays a very important part in the complete digestion of inorganic and organic samples for elemental analyses.
